It terrifies me.
the emotion I hide from the most...
Hi friends,
June is already coming to an end. In two days, the 15th issue of my paper newsletter will be printed and shipped to my subscribers.
Making this issue about how we can protect our boundaries was very interesting to me because it helped me work through different emotions I was afraid to process.
The main one is sadness.
Sadness is the emotion I struggle to face the most.
It terrifies me.
I hide from it and push it away.
When people don’t respect your boundaries, at some point, you have no other choice but to let go of the relationship.
And that can leave you in a confusing spot.
Especially if you struggle to process sadness.
Because no matter how bad a relationship was for you, the bond still needs to be grieved.
It means you can be sad for losing something that was not good for you.
But that’s where emotional awareness is a pretty useful skill:
You can accept feeling sad about something without trying to fix this sadness.
That’s why today I want to tell you something that I often tell myself too:
Let your sadness exist.
Let your boundaries exist too.
I know this balancing act can feel exhausting, but it’s a sign that you are developing your emotional strength.
You don’t have to do it alone, though.
That’s the purpose of The Bravefire, my printed newsletter.
A real publication (around 16 pages), printed on real paper, for real humans who need real emotional support.
No screens, no algorithms, no ads.
The deadline to join and get the July issue in your mailbox is in two days.
Have a lovely day,
Alice
